Drs Chan Wing Kwong, Donald Tan and Ronald Yeoh participated in this year’s annual meeting of the ASCRS in Los Angeles. Our doctors presented many scientific papers in several high profile symposia. Dr Ronald Yeoh, as President of the Asia-Pacific Association of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (APACRS) was given the honour of addressing the large American audience at its opening general session.

The APACRS also presented three major symposia, East meets West, 7 years of femtosecond laser cataract surgery and Top Gun in which the APACRS team beat the American team in all the award categories.

The multi award winning APACRS team dressed up in Top Gun pilot uniforms were pitched against an American team in teaching best cataract surgical tips.

Dr Yeoh also produced an educational video entitled ‘Outtakes in Cataract Surgery’ which won an award in the General Interest category of the ASCRS Film Festival.
