3 of our surgeons (Dr Chan Wing Kwong, Prof Donald Tan and Dr Ronald Yeoh) participated at the May 2016 American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (ASCRS) annual meeting in New Orleans, USA. This is one of the largest conferences regarding the anterior segment of the eye.

Prof Tan was an invited speaker in many different corneal symposia.

Dr Yeoh lectured in 4 instructional courses on femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery and gave two other invited lectures. He won Best Film award in Quality Education for his film entitled “Soft Cataracts can be Hard”.

Dr Yeoh was also chief judge for the ASCRS Cataract Olympic Games in which teams representing Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America vied for the gold medal. (The North American team won with the Asia-Pacific team coming second.)
